Jim's Dad.
Jim's Dad was a good horseman and a farmer.The photograph that I used to paint this picture is quite old and shows the type of houses which were quite common at the time ...usually referred to as miner's cottages, they were also popular for housing on small land holdings.

I painted this for Jim from an old photo.
You have done such a good job on both the portrait of your dad and the portrait of Jim's dad. Each has a very nice feel to it. I bet Jim loved this when you gave it to him.

All his family grew up riding horses.
