A Pair of Pears

This painting, a gouache, was done some time back. I placed the two pears on a sheet of glass so that there was some reflected colour and shape in the lower part if the composition.

Hi Sam. Great minds and all that. I went back to my blog, finally too. Love the pears. I've a whole bag that I've had for two weeks. Wish they would turn the colours you've painted. I'll flash them in front of the screen, see if they get the hint. Frances.

Sandy, Alice Folkart here, of the Torrens Creek Telegraph. Didn't know how else to contact you, and am very glad of it because I got to see your gorgeous paintings - you are very talented. I would like to own all of them. Pears are lovely, so is the Mall, so are the Eucalyptus trees, and the lilies and the bridge - Oh, my. I am impressed! And thank you very much for your kind comment on the Telegraph. It's a lot of fun for me, and being a 'foreign correspondent,' will look lovely on my resume if I should ever need it. I'm trying right now to design bogus 'press credentials' so that I can get into concerts and things, "Oh, don't you know? I'm covering this for the Torrens Creek Telegraph!"

Very pleased to meet you and thank you for taking the time to let me know that you enjoyed the Hawaii story.
