Dappled Light

Despite drought conditions in our part of Australia this hardy little geranium was doing very well. I was attracted to the interesting patterns made by the morning light falling on the plant.I thought it could make an interesting watercolour. Materials: Art Spectrum watercolours on pre- gessoed Arches rough 300gsm Size 23cm x 38cm

Your geranium reminds me of one we have. Acts like a native...if it can survive the 20 West Oz summers that I have known it for it could survive on Mars.

It is probably the same variety of geranium. We are still in drought and this tough little plant gets minimal attention, but every year it blooms as best it can.
