One of my latest watercolours...the rose.
I used a reference photo that I found on the internet. A white rose.
In the shadows on white flowers one can see all the colours of the spectrum.
Sandy, this is wonderful, a truly beautiful floral watercolor, with some real personality and style! I cannot stand the generic-looking "perfect" florals, they irritate and bore before I can even avert my eyes, heh. This makes me want to look and linger. You're not posting enough here, let's see more...and more.... Your fan, Nick
Finally got time Sandy, to tell you how I like this painting. Mind you 'The Deep' keeps drawing me back too. I agree with Nick. Not enough show on this site. WE WANT MORE! Come on guys.

Absolutely gorgeous. I'm not usually a fan of "florals" but this one is wonderful.

Thank you Kitty and Daniel.Your comments are much appreciated.
Ooops sorry Frances! I didn't mean to ignore you...thank you for those great comments!
Absolutely Gorgeous Sandy! I find working with white can be so difficult and you did this amazingly - beautiful contrasts and tones...Bravo!
Thank you Lisa...I love working in w/colour and florals sort of lend themselves to watercolour.
